Prebiotic and Probiotic
Live Organism A True Synbiotic

Probiotics are currently defined as "living organisms" which ingested in adequate amounts provide beneficial effects on host health by improving microbial balance. Thus it is equally important to support (feed) the probiotic with a nutrient base prebiotic that provides a balance between the pre arid pro biotic to achieve synergistic immuno-stimulation.

We have renewed the science of a nutrient essential system that supports the prebiotics ability to fully support probiotics dynamic synergy in creating a true Synbiotic.

By our ability to understand the precise supportive synergistic prebiotic, inulin and its ability from a physiological perspective, we recognize its progressive support of intestinal flora.

The human gastrointestinal tract is the site of food digestion, which consists of the stomach, small intestine, large intestine and colon. The pH of the stomach fluid concentrations is low, between l.5 pH and 2.0 pH. The stomach can be viewed as a chemical barrier against the entry of foreign bacteria into the intestinal tract. The bacterial count of the stomach is generally very low and so the human stomach is deficient of any significant flora, differing that of the colon which bacteria are present in enormous numbers.

Mans digestive tract contains 1014 primarily in the digestive region of the small intestine and in the colon. "Resident" bacteria which permanently colonize man's digestive tract 1011 Bacteria/g in the feces, and transient bacteria from food consumption. When one speaks of the digestive transient time, it is extremely important to consider the influence of inulin as the prebiotic feeding source that is not digested by mammal enzymes, thus greatly increasing the transitory time and influencing colon pH.

Synbiotics can be considered as a means to deliver active agents; enzymes, immunomodulatory peptides and antibacterial substances to target areas in the digestive tract. Survival capacity in the gastro-intestinal tract varies greatly by type and strain, taking into consideration that some probiotics singly are destroyed as they enter the stomach while others such as yeast, Bifidobacterium, and Lacidophilus pass through the small intestine and occasionally in the colon.

Because of the combination of both pre and pro biotics grown onto specific inulin, the creation of the synbiotic, certain strains and their sub species are able to adhere to the
digestive epithelium, thus creating an ecological advantage promoting the potential between the epithelium and the resident immune bacterium genuses resulting in a different modulation in immune response measured at both the intestinal and systemic levels.
